New Roundabout Coming to NE 182nd, Risto Road β Construction Starts June 22
If your daily route takes you through the intersection of Northeast 182nd Avenue and Risto Road near Salmon Creek, time to start mapping a detour. Clark County Public Works begins construction on a new single-lane roundabout there starting June 22. The project also includes road resurfacing and slope reduction work in the area. $25 Million Gift Funds Rural Health Scholarships at UW School of Medicine
Philanthropists Bill and Carolyn Franke and their family have donated $25 million to the University of Washington School of Medicine to support students planning to practice in rural and Indigenous communities across the state. It's one of the largest gifts in the school's history and could meaningfully expand healthcare access in underserved parts of Washington β including areas not far from Clark County.
