Camas Farmers Market Moves to a New Spot for the First Time in Two Decades
If muscle memory has been steering you to the same corner every summer, recalibrate: the Camas Farmers Market kicked off its 2026 season in a brand-new location after nearly 20 years in its previous home. The beloved mix of local farmers, food vendors, live music, and community hangs remains fully intact β just with a fresh backdrop. It's still one of downtown Camas' signature weekly events, and organizers say the new site gives vendors and visitors more room to spread out. Full details on the new location from The Columbian.
CCFR Boathouse Returns to Lake River After Six-Month Rebuild
Clark-Cowlitz Fire Rescue's boathouse is back on the water at the Ridgefield Boat Ramp, wrapping up a repair saga that started when an accidental fire sidelined the agency's marine operations last December. The restored facility supports CCFR's rescue boat and fire boat, which respond to boater distress calls, paddleboard rescues, and summertime emergencies along Lake River. Funding for the rebuild came from insurance proceeds, a Homeland Security grant, and a contribution from the Community Foundation of Southwest Washington's Paul B. and Deborah D. Speer Fund. With summer heat and recreational boating season ramping up, the timing couldn't be better. Read more at Clark County Today.
Raptors Stretch Win Streak to Five With 9-3 Rout
Ridgefield's summer ball club is rolling. The Raptors hammered Yakima Valley 9-3 on Tuesday night, powered by a pitching staff that held the visitors to just six hits across four arms. The five-game winning streak has the Raptors looking sharp early in the West Coast League season β exactly the kind of momentum that fills seats at the Ridgefield Outdoor Recreation Complex on warm June evenings. Game recap from The Columbian.
5 Vancouver Spots to Catch World Cup Matches This Summer
The 2026 World Cup is here, and you don't need to cross the river to find a solid watch party. The PNW Report rounded up Vancouver-friendly venues β including Loyal Legion in its gorgeously restored downtown brick building at 1601 Washington Street β where you can pair the beautiful game with local food and drink. Whether you're a diehard supporter or just in it for the atmosphere, the guide covers patios, big screens, and the kind of communal energy that makes tournament soccer so fun. See the full list at The PNW Report.
C-Tran Takes Historic Step for Purple Vine Bus Rapid Transit Line
For the first time in its history, C-Tran is initiating condemnation proceedings β this time on three properties the transit agency says are necessary to keep the Purple Vine bus rapid transit project on track. The C-Tran board voted unanimously Tuesday to begin the process, a significant milestone for the BRT line that will run through the Hazel Dell corridor. Construction timelines hinge on acquiring the parcels, and the agency has signaled it exhausted negotiations before turning to condemnation. Details from The Columbian.
