**Outlook period** next 14 days --- Thursday and Friday carry a real chance of snow on the hills — the only days of note in the next two weeks.

The fortnight is otherwise flat, but Thursday and Friday stand out clearly. Forecast guidance puts the chance of snow on the hills at around 37–39% on Thursday, easing only slightly to around 34% on Friday — a real chance on both days, sitting just below even. The plains are in the picture too, with a low-to-meaningful chance of around 17–22% Thursday and close to 20% Friday. Neither day is a certainty, but both are worth having on the radar for high-country operations and road planning. The signal for Thursday has been broadly stable across recent runs of the guidance, which adds a little confidence that this is a genuine feature rather than a passing blip.
