Sloth and Manatee

Whenever I am in a city, and I see a building with lots of windows, I wonder about what is behind each and every one of them.
And then when I’m inside a big building in a city, I think, hey, I’m what’s behind one of those windows, I wonder if anyone down there is thinking about what might be up here.
There’s something about this grid of boxes, frames, that look very much the same, but that are containers for vastly different things. There might be a life-changing conversation going on in that conference room up there. Somebody might be packing to move inside that apartment. What sorts of art and other shenanigans might be happening? And all at once, next to each other. Marvelous.
Each window is an Interdimensional Bloop, leading to somewhere that’s been shaped by whoever is in there. Or who isn’t in there. Or who will be in there. Maybe they are knocking on the door inside, right now.

For various reasons I have been thinking about a particular window at my parents’ house, it’s a big bay window that looks out onto the back yard
I bought a new mouse and it came with a folding bit of cardboard in the package that resembled the window’s proportions
And also there was a sunset at our house in which the bay trees were silhouetted

I have also been thinking about this particular comic, it’s an early one

I love this notion of copyrighting your faults. What can you not not do? Might be a superpower.
I’m a member of the Cartoonist Cooperative, through which I become aware of a lot of marvelous artists, so thought I’d highlight some here - here is Hannes Pasqualini
I’ve probably shared Jack Whitten here before, but by gosh I’m gonna do it again.
Okay! That's enough nonsense for now.
May you see through to a new side of things, may you deploy your superpower, won't you be my neighbor? - Betsy
