On Penguins
"Wherever we go, we are friends" -Sloth and Manatee
Sloth and Manatee

There are no penguins in computers.
There are no penguins in cameras, either. Or in books.
The only reason we know about penguins is because some very special people took it upon themselves to go someplace very difficult, and bring along their notebooks and other stuff, and make observations. People had to sit their butts down on the snow or the rock or wherever and find out what these funny little waddling things were. Those people had to look at the penguins and listen to them and see where they went and what they did and write that down and take pictures. They had to do this through all the seasons, and for years.
Then, people took that stuff and put it in a form that other people could also see, and now everyone could see about penguins, but without traveling to some remote ice floe. This is the magic of media and information.
Penguins are awesome.
Penguins do not know or care that they are called penguins by some other funky bipeds.
Computers and other technologies know nothing about penguins. They just store information for funky bipeds to share with each other.
