On Gestures
"Wherever we go, we are friends" -Sloth and Manatee
Sloth and Manatee

Are there people in your life that you can pick out of a crowd just by catching a glimpse of a bit of the side of their head or the way they walk?
There are some people I pass on the running trail all the time who have their little stances and ways of cruising along that I recognize at a distance. And then when they pass by, their shoes sound a certain way. And this one guy with a little trailer on the back of his bike that bumbles along on the ground.
There’s also a ton of stuff that I fill in that isn’t right at all. I mis-read signs all the time. When I was a kid, I thought “Not a Through Street” said “Not a Thorough Street,” as in, this street isn’t fully constructed yet. Yes, I was a kid who over-thought things.

Things Of The Week
Rap is absolutely filled with gestures, and here is a video featuring a really nice bunch of visualizations of how that works and how it has evolved. (PLEASE NOTE: This has LANGUAGE in it!)
This Polish short animation from 1967 feels very relevant today, at least to me.
This curve generator is just a source of endless gestures. I just hit the button over and over and make up stories about what I see.
Okay! That's enough nonsense for now.
