This October, we're going to New Orleans.

From October 29 through November 1, I'll be co-leading An Ancestral Excursion — an intimate journey to one of the most ancestrally charged cities in the African diaspora, held at the convergence of Samhain, Día de los Muertos, and Halloween. Three traditions. One thinning of the veil. One city that knows how to hold all of it.

This isn't a tour. It's a grounding — in place, in lineage, in the inheritance we carry as descendants of the diaspora.

What we're studying this summer

May — Electuaries & Pills Wednesday, May 27 · 6pm PT Honey, herbs, and the kitchen apothecary at its sweetest. We'll blend electuaries and roll pills by hand. Old medicine, made simple, made to share.

June — Don't Bite Me Wednesday, June 17 · 6pm PT Mosquito season has opinions. We'll answer back with herbal repellents, after-bite remedies, and the deeper work of becoming less appealing to biting things in the first place.

July — The Pleasure Garden: Sensual Herbalism Wednesday, July 15 · 6pm PT Rose, damiana, hibiscus, jasmine, cacao. The plants that open the body to pleasure and remind us that delight is medicine, too. Bring your senses; we're feeding all of them.

August — Matters of the Heart with Julie & Ericka Date TBD The heart is muscle, vessel, and knower. Together we'll work with the herbs that tend it on every level: circulatory tone, grief held in the chest, and the slow work of opening again.

September — Harvest Baths Wednesday, September 16 · 6pm PT The doorway month. We'll gather what the season has given — rosemary, basil, rue, marigold, late roses — and put it into water for cleansing, threshold, and arrival. The bath you draw before you walk into ceremony.
