Last month I published a story about a unique carbon offset program in Alaska, which uses tourist interest in the majestic Alaskan Panhandle to raise funds to move local homes away from fossil-fuel heating. The website that published this story, Grist, added a little widget that uses a computerized voice to read the story to you, if you're so interested.
The voice, while better than other ones I've heard, is clearly computerized. So for this paid members email, I broke out the podcast mic and recorded the story myself. And as usual, I've included the local climate stories catching my attention this week as well.
