A good deal on supporting local climate news
Dear TPYS reader,
I’ve been pleasantly surprised by new readers showing up when I least expect it — from friends sharing past editions with friends, a social media follow or even fellow journalists interested in reading more.
I hope you’re enjoying The Planet You Save May Be Your Own. I started this newsletter in part to build out ideas as I went solo as a journalist, but I’ve been fortunate to be able to publish interviews, essays and quick roundups that otherwise wouldn’t fit into what I pitch to other publications.
The reason I can keep this newsletter as part of my work week as a freelancer is because of paid members. If you’ve enjoyed this newsletter or gotten some sort of benefit from it, consider joining the approximately 5% of readers who support the newsletter.
Paid members get an extra edition each month, usually a deeper dive into one story or some behind-the-scenes exclusive, plus a collection of resources I’ve written - including Zero Cities, a guide on understanding and acting on your city’s own climate plan.
I’ll occasionally put a shout out in the regular editions for readers to become paid members, but as a newer subscriber, I’m offering you a discount — $4/month (usually $6) or $40/year. I don’t offer the discounted monthly or yearly price anywhere but in this email, so be sure to click on those links if you want to support the newsletter and get a good deal.
Your continued readership means a lot to me — thanks for opening, reading and sharing your thoughts. You can always get it touch with me at hello @ theplanetyousave.com
Thanks,
Taylor
