We're recruiting new writers!

To mark the new year, we are recruiting new regular contributors for all our sections: Arts, Community, Inter|National, Perspectives and Student. We are looking for writing that can show important stories in a radical new light, or bring issues marginalised by mainstream media to the fore.
Our team is a collective of writers, activists, students and workers who volunteer to produce an independent publication dedicated to amplifying progressive and radical ideas, campaigns and artwork. If you share our values and are interested in writing on any kind of political or artistic topic, we'd love you to join us!
Our regular contributors commit to producing one short article or piece of creative writing for their section on a monthly or fortnightly basis. Previous writing experience is beneficial, but not necessary - we are always helping each other to improve our work and develop our skills as a team. Applicants do not have to be based in Norwich, or in the UK, and we particularly encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds.
Please note The Norwich Radical is not-for-profit and all writers and editors work on a voluntary basis.
How to Apply
To apply for the role of Section Writer at The Norwich Radical, please send a statement of no more than 400 words, along with a sample of your written work to thenorwichradical@gmail.com. Your statement should specify which section(s) you wish to apply for, and lay out what kind of contributions you could bring to The Norwich Radical as a regular contributor as well as any previous experience you feel is relevant.
We also request that candidates fill in and send this equal opportunities monitoring form, but this is not compulsory. The equal opportunities form will be separated and anonymised on receipt of your application.
Please return your statement, written work sample and equal opportunities monitoring form by midnight on Friday 18th February. See our Join the Team page for more information, and if you have any queries, email us at thenorwichradical@gmail.com. We look forward to hearing from you!
Solidarity,
The Norwich Radical Editorial Team
