The Road to War of Words 2019

Subscriber In the past month, the constant reminder of world events headed badly has not gone away - between the ever-looming Brexit presence in the UK, the current US administration's horrors, and general climate and politics-related disasters worldwide, there are no real light windows onto the global stage. We do, however, have some good news from The Norwich Radical HQ to counter all that.

We have added new names to our regular writer roster, including one of our popular external contributors Sarah Edgcumbe, New Zealand-based Olivia Barnett-Naghshineh, local musician Tom McGhie, UK justice system speaker and blogger David Breakspear, and UEA student Jess O'Dwyer. We're excited to see more from them as their pieces appear on our publication!

As for the biggest news this month: for the fourth year running, The Norwich Radical is bringing together writers, artists, media creators from across different worlds and backgrounds, at the War of Words Progressive Media Conference 2019! The one day event will take place on 30th March 2019, once more in the UEA Student Union Building, in Norwich.

We are running a crowdfunding campaign to raise the money to allow us to keep it free for all attendees, and make it the best we can. We thank you for any help you can give, be it donations, sharing the crowdfunder page, or even just spreading awareness of the conference.

Any help you can give to help us develop a fairer, progressive, strong media landscape is welcome, and we thank you for it.

In solidarity,
