The Norwich Radicorns

More and more news from the past month just keeps confirming the need for challenging, alternative, independent media. From mass distraction about buses and the lies they carry, the increase in trans* hate and violence, and convenient coverage/cover-ups from state media, June has raised the heat in all senses.
June was also the internationally recognised Pride Month - which means it's now time for Wrath Month of course - and our participation with local artist Vince Laws and his independent Pimp my Unicorn mini-festival alongside Norwich Pride! The Norwich Radical will be present at the launch and throughout the event, including hosting our very own poetry and performance night on 24th July.

In closer news to us, the Norwich Radical team got bigger! Please welcome our new faces in the Arts and Perspectives sections so far.

Tamar Moshkovitz is a graduate of UEA's English Literature with Creative Writing BA. She's a part time writer and a full time astronaut, has more opinions than she can keep to herself, and loves nothing more than a good podcast. Tamar has written for Concrete - UEA's student newspaper - and participated in the Words w/ Friends project, with which she performed spoken word poetry across the UK.

Ananya Wilson-Bhattacharya is a graduate of English literature at UEA and a lifelong (aspiring) writer. Her interests include UK and Indian politics, questions of race, intersectional and Marxist feminism and literature by marginalised writers. She also enjoys song-writing with her guitar, playing open mics around Norwich and snacking too often. She tweets @AnanyaWilson.

Alex Day is an artist and journalist interested in the politics of dance music. Norfolk deserves inclusive music venues, that open late and are supported by the local council. Over a series of articles, Alex will investigate the ebbs and flows of Norfolk’s night time economy.
We look forward to their work with us, and we'll soon be announcing some further collaborators for the coming months. See you all on the 24th!
In solidarity,
