Super Blue Blood Update

Subscriber We're getting ever closer to War of Words 2018, but our regularly scheduled Radical work is still steaming ahead!

The new year has ushered in some troublesome developments globally. Things can become overwhelming, with Brexit on one side of the pond and the Trump administration on the other, both supporting and enabling the waves of ethno-nationalism resurfacing worldwide. There have been some smaller nudges towards the positive hidden among all that, however.

We have attempted to document and provide support throughout, looking at how to better deal with news and the world around us on a personal level, and with an eye to the future - while also countering toxic narratives and media spin about global realities and status quo.

Ideological notions of free speech are perpetually resurrected by those who would rather silence opposition and deliver their propaganda free of consequence. We attempted to provide a platform for the counter-narratives, and highlight all the good, brave, powerful and artful voices taking stands against bigoted worldviews, through original work and reviews alike.

And finally: War of Words 2018 is writ predictably large in our work at the moment! The full line-up for the conference can be seen below. You can still register for a free ticket for the event - taking place on 10th February in Norwich - at our Eventbrite site, and follow announcements on the Facebook event.

We hope to see many Radical followers there. Expect another announcement next week about the full logistics of the event.

In solidarity,
The Norwich Radical Editorial Team
