Recruiting new editors and other news

In very sombre news, we are still witnessing the disastrous results of climate change across the globe and how it's affecting communities everywhere, from Hurricane Harvey in the US, to the horrifying and under-reported floods in South Asia, Sierra Leone, and Yemen - plus a side note on the worst drought in the last 60 years still ongoing in Italy, and Rome in particular - while efforts are spent in trying to deny the root causes at an institutional level.
These are added to the constant, vicious, overt increase in despicable acts of violence, racism, transphobia, homophobia and white supremacy that several countries are going through right now - the US in particular, but Myanmar, Italy, Germany, Spain have also all seen more events linked to domestic and international terrorism alike in this past month alone. Events which we will continue to call out, condemn, and face steadfast.
On a more positive note, however, we are very glad to support and report on the first ever High Wycombe Pride, organised by our very own Lucy Auger and devoid of any corporate or institutional presence. Expect a piece from Lucy directly to appear on our site soon.
In matters related more to housekeeping, the editorial team have recently met and decided on opening new spots for regular contributors to the publication, which will happen in the next month - if writing for us is something that you are interested in, we'd suggest to keep an eye out on our social media accounts and your email inboxes!
Until then, we stand in solidarity,
Alex & Cadi,
