Subscriber Last year we launched our first ever Progressive Media Conference  — War of Words. With more than 30 speakers, including Natalie Bennett, Ben Chacko and Michelle Stanistreet, we spent a day with 150 people exploring what a progressive media future might look like. 

On March 4th 2017, we're bringing War of Words back for a second year! 

The wheels are already in motion to bring another exciting cohort of speakers to Norwich, with plans in place to hold sessions on music as a force for change, media representations of Islam, the arts in a time of crisis, the importance of YA fiction, race and the British media among many, many others!

As ever, though, we need a few helping hands along the way.

The Norwich Radical is run entirely by volunteers. Our editors, writers, artists, poets and supporters all contribute without financial help. We don't have wealthy backers, we don't have advertising revenue and we don't have big grant pots that tie us either.

In order to make War of Words happen this year, we need to raise the funds to pay for equipment hire, publicity and travel costs for our speakers. We need to gather as many small contributions as possible to make sure the event can go ahead. 

Please, if you have just a few pounds spare, consider donating to our crowdfunder, and help us build a better media.
