Don't miss out...

Subscriber There are less than two weeks to go until War of Words 2017 – The Progressive Media Conference, with tickets going fast. More than 80 people have registered already, and they're all set to join a day of discussion on how we can build a better media future.

The last year has taught us many things, not least of which is that in the wake of Brexit, the election of Donald Trump and the rise of the far right across Europe, we need to reshape our media now more than ever before. We need a media that holds political and corporate actors to account, that challenges, rather than reinforces oppression and that builds power among social movements. The power to shape the media – through social media, newspapers, magazines, music, film, art, and more – lies with us.

At War of Words, contributions from openDemocracy, The Green Party, Red Pepper, New Internationalist, The Morning Star, Media Diversified, NUS, Arts Emergency, Positive News, The Canary, People & Planet, Travellers' Times and many more, we're creating a debate on what a progressive media might look like.

Join us on March 4th and help build a radical, progressive and democratic media future.

Register for War of Words 2017 by February 28th.
