Before the storm

It has been a bit of a quiet month on the front-facing side of The Norwich Radical, but we can assure you that a lot is happening behind the scenes, even as we enter further restrictions in the UK.
Our fine-tuning of our new worker's cooperative structure continues, and we'll shortly be finalising some last details. More to come on that front.
We also have a new Instagram account! We'll be sharing our articles and contributors pages, but also spotlighting local initiatives, campaigns, and stories: follow us here.
This past week, we've been covering the various food sharing and meal offer campaigns and initiatives from local businesses and organisations (including Norfolk Against Holiday Hunger's plate protest), in light of the Tories' callous decision of not providing meals to children while schools aren't running this half term.

Articles you may have missed this month include an insightful piece from our editor Yali on the ZAD du Carnet in France, an intriguing exploration of plaguecore - an aesthetic building on new COVID-19 appearances, and the second part of our mini-series on trespass and its criminalisation.

Now, for the inescapable pachyderm in everyone's online room: the upcoming US election. Student section writer Howard Green has produced an excellent piece on what is happening, how it compares to the likes of Bolivia or Chile, and why it's so... terrifying and underwhelming at the same time:
'The American people are being asked to choose between a supposed liberal who is probably quite happy for political gridlock to prevent him passing any actual progressive policy, and a demagogue who will disregard all controls on his power to get what he wants. It’s an easy choice for anyone who sees Trump for the danger that he is, but it’s not an inspiring one.'
You can read the full piece here.
We hope you are doing as well as you can, and that you are able to find some solace and hope even in small things.
In solidarity,
The Norwich Radical Editorial Team
