F*ck 🧊 Solidarity Forever

Header-Newsletter.png

Dear Comrades,

We are witnessing the fall of the United States in real time. And as the people of Minnesota have shown us, community organizing efforts are crucial leading the resistance. Folks across the country are answering the call to join them, as evidenced by the Nationwide Shutdown. But the work is not over. And our "leaders" are not coming to save us. We take care of us.

Here are a few resources for participating in the resistance:

  • The Immigrant Legal Resource Center has print your own red cards available in 56 languages for download.

  • Boycott Citizens has compiled a list of companies collaborating with ICE to boycott.

  • This Linktree has a comprehensive collection of mutual aid resources in Minneapolis, where you can support organizations on the frontlines, as well as more localized efforts for schools, food & rent relief, & family GoFundMes.

Solidarity forever.

Black poster with white and orange text and disco balls in the center. Camp A Queer KidLit Camp Fundraiser at The Nonbinarian Bookstore 2/20/26 7pm-11pm. $10 Suggested donation. Local authors! Flash tats! DJs!

What if this Valentine's month we join in community with our queer comrades & book-ish folk at The Nonbinarian Bookstore? Join us in-store as your most fabulous sparkly self for an after-hours 21+ party on Friday, February 20 from 7pm—11 pm.

PWYC entrance fee goes toward supporting
Queer KidLit Camp. Allies welcome & are gently encouraged to donate more if they can as we center TGNC & QTBIPOC attendees, authors, & volunteers.

Queer KidLit Camp brings together a diverse group of 30-50 queer and trans people in and around the book publishing industry to spend three days in community with each other for an opportunity to discuss the highs and lows of working in publishing with our intersectional identities.

Meet local authors! Win raffles! Flash tattoos & DJs & other fun gay stuff too probably! Come be cute with us on the dance floor at the super gay bookstore as we fundraise for the most wholesome thing in the book industry: Queer KidLit Camp! RSVP HERE!

This month, we are reading How We Get Free edited by Keeanga-Yamahtta Taylor.*

Join us on Friday, February 27 at 8 p.m. ET on Zoom to meet other club members and chat about the book! The Zoom link will be sent out on the day of the meeting.

The Nonbinarian Book Club is a monthly, virtual, queer and trans-focused book club. Attendees will receive $5 off their next purchase at The Nonbinarian Bookstore, in-store or online. Meetings take place on the last Friday of each month and book club picks will be announced via the Nonbinarian Newsletter and social media on the 1st of each month.

If you prefer to listen to the audiobook, support indie bookstores and the Nonbinarian by purchasing through Libro.fm and selecting us as your store of choice!*

"Reading Trancestors: A Trans History Book Club" is written in dark blue text over a transgender flag

Hosted monthly by Nonbinarians Philomena and Alexander, Reading Trancestors will meet monthly both in-store and virtually on Zoom. Each month we will collectively suggest and vote on our next book together.

This month, we’ll be continuing reading the second part of Histories of the Transgender Child by Jules Gill-Peterson available in print from Bookshop.org.*

Reading Trancestors is a free, monthly, hybrid reading and discussion group centering trans authors and readers, focused on learning from a past that insists on continually repeating itself. How did our trancestors survive the things we’re scared will happen again? Where did they find purpose in a world with no concept of their existence? What beautiful siblings are in the archive, siblings we may not even know existed?

Attendees (both virtual & in-person) will receive $5 off their next book club pick purchase at The Nonbinarian Bookstore.

Note: This book club centers the trans gaze and is open only to trans, non-binary, and gender-nonconforming attendees.

*If ever you cannot afford to obtain a copy of the book club pick for any of our meetings, please reach out to us via email. No judgment, no questions. We take care of us.
