It’s snowing and I keep reminding myself, “April showers bring May flowers!” Here’s hoping spring sunshine is just around the corner - but with the snow comes a moody, poetic feeling that makes me want to write and write and write.
In celebration of Poetry Month, I’m offering 15% off my entire shop for the month of April - use the code APRILPOETRY and you can get a poetry collage kit for just $8.50.
I’m biased of course, but I love the playful creativity that the collage kit provides. Poetry collages are a fun way to explore written and visual art and combine the two.

If you’re local to my area, you can also come play with found poetry techniques at two workshops! I’ll be at the Granum Public Library on April 4th, and the Fort Macleod Public Library on April 23rd. (need details? let me know!)
In the spirit of poetry month, here’s how to write love notes to the moon:
Step 1 - pick up a pen and your favorite notebook
Step 2 - write a poem to the moon, as if she were your best friend
Step 3 - stop writing because it's hard sometimes
Step 4 --throw out the poem and move on to the list below because sometimes we just need to become astonished and in love again.

Don’t forget that you can get 15% off the entire online shop this month - share and let your friends know - maybe you can all make collage poetry together! Visit the Shop
