The Gym No. #%^# wtf I love you edition
Hey guys,
I thought I’d given up this little platform but it’s here, and you’re out there, so I thought I’d use it.
The main thing I want to share is, I’m here to help. What does that mean? Idk, but with school, work, and extracurricular activities all happening at home, the days seem to have gotten longer and more flexible. I’m not an expert in any of what you guys do, but I can help brainstorm strategies, figure out how to implement them in the digital world, express your visions and needs in writing, and—most of all—champion your work.
Even if you just want to vent or process, I’m here to listen and maybe learn what the community needs. Hit me up. Standing offer.
A couple bright things I noticed that I’m sure you have too:
Everyone is dancing in their living rooms, and class—online and free for now (although IMO you guys should start charging something next week—let’s sustain!) is more accessible than ever! See any dance artist’s Insta feed for details.

Glimpses of people’s unstaged, imperfect homes and the objects inside them. How fun is this?! My VP at work has a guitar and a cajón (lol I almost spelled that wrong) in the corner of her guest room! For followers of home and interior design media, don’t you think this is the end of the polished house tour era? We’re getting real here. It’s a good thing.
So much funny/notfunny: e.g., this. Uh, I thought there was more but it has slipped my mind.
And ICYMI:

Livestreamed performances from opera to improv at the Social Distancing Festival (via the Chronicle y Sightlines)

Take it easy, folks. It’s a marathon for sure. Take time to keep everyone safe and sane, and to mourn all your beautiful intentions before rushing to replace them with new ones.
xo,
Jonelle
