Team Daddy and Gaël

"TEAM DADDY AND GAËL!"

Every time before we do something now. Puzzles, basketball, soccer, video games, cooking or watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Then we high five.

Seems like we've been riding a good wave lately. Parents of teenagers tell me to relish it. So I am. It's all adventures at the moment. A lot of time out in nature, we even camped one night.

(My friend Hans is on a tremendous cross country van adventure. I'm totally smitten. As soon as Gaël can drive - 12 right? - we'll have a crack at it. Toad and his caravan situation).

---

I'm ticking along. Driving hard at a few side projects. Writing. Actually reading books. Yoga every day. Checking things off, but the amount I'm juggling is a little daunting. I've doubled down on my personal analytics and am getting better at making every minute count (as the Fremen look at water, I want to look at time). Hoping that the investment has some form of compounding benefit for the future.

---

I finally met the man who walks his dog (Lola) in the park at 5am in the morning. He worked for UW for 40 years as a geneticist. Before that he was a farmer for a year, but said he didn't like it. His wife died 5 years ago and he takes every day pretty slow. After the morning walk he takes a nap and then just hangs out. He reminds me a lot of my Grandpa and is officially one of my favorite Seattle people.

---

I have completely taco'd Bertrand's back wheel. I'll need to rebuild it. Any mechanically minded Seattle people want to join in? I'll provide good music, mediocre company and food that you may or may not like.

That and I'm feeling adventurous - do you have any ideas? Does anyone want to swim in the sound? Graffiti with sidewalk chalk? Have a bbq on a rainy/cold day under a picnic structure? Set up a 5 cent therapy booth?

Cowabunga dude,

DJ
