Summer in Winter in Seattle

Riding home from work the sky was bright blue and the sun was just low enough that it filled up the whole south side of the lake. I can't believe how every spring always surprises me. That feeling still hits me the same way as it did when I was a teenager.
The rain is coming back next week, but the next beautiful day I'm stealing away, walking the botanical garden and reading poetry.
Last letter I told you I'm going to try to do a little better job with balance this year. Hit or miss the first month, this next month will be better. Or at least I'll try. I've got a lot of people counting on me, but a few more days outside will do my soul good.
Gaël memorized all the presidents and is working on the bodies of water. He has clip-on earrings and loves everything about anime.
Tommy has a growing collection of words and never stops moving. Makes me think a lot of Gaël at that age. I'm lucky to get to experience it all again.
Shelby is working and keeping the world together. She never gets enough time for herself.
