Scavenger Hunt

End of year digital purge. Stayed on social networks, but dramatically unfollowed and paired down. Feels really good. In the spirit of that, drop this newsletter if you want. It's a small room and I'll miss you. But if it makes your world smaller, more manageable/better, that's something I support.

Or you might just have had enough DJ, which is also ok. I'll imagine we're Dom and Brian saying goodbye at the end of Furious 7.

Couldn't plan a normal birthday party this year so I kind of winged it. Made a 30 minute recording where I could do a "virtual walk" with people (a follow up to my quarantine lamentations).

To capitalize on a year full of self-discovery I invited people to try to find me in Magnuson park. We used 2-way radios and I would drop clues about what I could see around me as they worked somewhat together to try to track me down. The radio chatter was absolutely ridiculous and over-the-top. People didn't know each other which made it that much better. Going to repeat this as soon as possible.

The sunrises are absolutely ridiculous right now.

Gaël in his own words:

"Like a crazy life. School - I don't know. I just want to watch my show, one more thing.

I'm excited about winning the last level of something. I'm just going to be done"
