Little things
Last Saturday we were able to welcome Thomas Hugh Harvey-Petersen. The delivery and labor were both thankfully smooth and both Mom/son are healthy, something we are very grateful for.
It’s early days, but being surrounded by Shelby, Gaël and Tommy, I feel abundantly and surprisingly blessed to have found my way into such a family. There is warmth, laughter, love and encouragement. We fall to sleep together reading and walk in our neighborhood. We root for each other, fight for each other and sometimes cry for each other. To have this family grow is the best thing that could happen to me.
Difficult to write, a season of change for my family and extended family with welcoming some and saying goodbye to others.
Hoping that wherever you are, you find yourself away from a screen, walking somewhere green, taking in all of life around you,
