Gaël and I have started playing this game. It started at the froyo place.
Remember the froyo place?
Anyway it's been taken a step farther. We close our eyes and try to guess what the other person puts on your spoon. Sometimes it's chocolate. Sometimes it's strawberry. If you are lucky you get sprinkles too.
Now you, being a wiser person than me, can see where this game can potentially go wrong with a 6 year old boy. I on the other hand am...who I am.
So we're in the park, enjoying one of the first sunny days of the year. Spread out under a tree picnic style. Alternating bites from a big pasta salad. Getting close to the end and it's my turn to take a bite. I'm hoping for pasta, olive and salami. What do I get? A big forkful of grass.
We're both rolling on the ground laughing. It's a pretty good joke.
Other new things? Gaël wrote half the grocery list on his own yesterday (BRIE, EGG, PROTEIN BARS, BAT) and we're enjoying reading lots of comics.

My Uncle and Aunt have a rule.
For every one thing that comes into the house, three things have to go out. Now I don't exactly know the origin of this rule and it would be rude of me to reveal what I do know.
I'm going to try this*.
First things first, make a wishlist:

So to get that jump rope, let's go ahead and choose some things to get rid of. These were my favorite shoes forever. They fit better than anything I've ever experienced, but I've worn and loved them to their limit. They need a special send-off, I'll find the right telephone line somewhere (shoe valhalla).

Next this book that I should use, but won't**.

I have many many pickle jars. It's ok to let one go.

Well I guess I earned a jump rope.

* I have no love lost for that tyrant-in-disguise Marie Kondo. Someone sent me her book before it hit the mainstream and it did not spark joy. I've always tried to have the 'right' amount of things. Adding or subtracting kind of throws me.
** Randomly selected from this book: "Is there a God? Nothing so closely approaches the outer limits of abstraction as theorizing about a supernatural and supreme being..."

PS: No updates other than these. Of course I ran out of gas trying to keep up with the runners. The weather turned and I with it. Find me loafing around the city. Or better, join me.
PSS: Two youtube videos that moved me:
Theo Von on his relationship with his father (26m),
Men Cry In Private (6m57s - also '
2 things to know about women')
