How do you say "I think I'm getting the hang of this" in French?
Well it's been 3 weeks since we moved and we're getting settled! Kind of. Maybe. We were lucky enough to move into a furnished place which has made things about 1000 times easier. Having to go through trying to figure out how to go to IKEA, pick up the furniture and somehow bring it back(cars here are European sized which is cute and awesome, but not great for moving large masses of things...) would have been a nightmare, not one of those enriching makes you better person experiences.
The neighborhood around has been a pleasant surprise. Since we are 3 we decided that we would look for a place that had a little more room on the outside of Paris. Originally I was thinking this would mean living in a block of concrete highrises and taking the bus back into city anytime we wanted to do or see anything. It's been a pleasant surprise to find that we are surrounded by parks*, boulangeries** and other assorted shops***. That plus the weekly market makes it pretty fun, it feels like living in a little village.
Work is good, but a bit heavy at the moment. I find myself working many nights and early mornings. I am hoping that this won't last much longer than a month. I like my colleagues though and I love the weekly croissant runs for the whole office. Hoping that I will have a looooong honeymoon there.
Céline is deep in her studies for the agregation. It's amazing everything she is juggling and she is running on a treadmill set to 10. Between that, being a mother, seeing old friends and working a tiny bit on her doctorate on the side she has almost no time. We enjoy the moments we can carve out on the side.
Gaël is growing. Starting to chatter quite a lot and will hopefully soon be toddling around. He has an obsession with anything we tell him is off limits. It's amazing how much he is moving around. More on him in another letter.
I am hoping to send this semi-regularly I don't know quite what it will be yet, but I send my best to all of you.

* Parc des sarments is my favorite - it has lavendar everywhere and a pretty fountain
** It took us a while, but we have a favorite one of these too. It's called citroen meringue and while it is a little farther than the other two, it is worth the daily pilgrimage
*** a cave, a chocolate shop and a little tea place
