A spicy dinner party recipe

Prep time: 30 minutes

Cook time: 10-50 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 3 random couples

  • 3 random bags of groceries

  • 1 small kitchen

Directions:

1. Swap grocery bags, couple with the shortest relationship gets to choose first

2. Prep the food (max 30 minutes), after this you can let it cook for a bit

3. During prep, audience lobs relationship questions at the couple

4. Present the food, it will be scored on creativity, presentation and flavor

That happened - it was delightful in the most odd ways. One of the bags contained only cabbage, potatoes, fennel and BBQ sauce.

During the last 5 minutes I asked each couple what was their partner's favorite trait/quality. Seeing them light up both sharing and receiving the compliments - it made the whole experience.

G and I are good. Drifting through dreamy Oregon for a week. The weather took a turn for the better and we got a taste of Spring. Old friends, time with family, only one problem here - we have to return.

Although, good things are brewing in Seattle. Hope some of them involve you,

Cowabunga dude,

DJ
