Leftsit Reminder - Wednesday 5/13 @ 7:00 AM

Hello Newsletter Subscribers,

A meditation practice can be a very challenging thing to do regularly. It is like eating vegetables for your brain. And in this analogy, your brain is a 6-year-old who has recently learned how to be picky.

One of the things that helps me the most in my practice is having a Sangha, a community of people who support each other and explore this practice together. Which is why I started hosting Leftsit, and which is why I am reminding you that if you want to attend tomorrow morning, you should sign up now!

If you would like to join us tomorrow, please register using the link below to get a link for the virtual room. Registration closes 2 hours before the event starts, apologies to those who planned on setting their alarms for 5:00 am to sign up at the last minute.

I have been struggling to maintain my daily practice lately. I'm sure there are a confluence of reasons for this. But it is times like these when I think about the most well known Mary Oliver poem, Wild Geese, which is what I will leave you with.

"You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
For a hundred miles through the desert, repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves."

It goes on much longer than this, and is worth reading. It is a much needed reminder to pay attention to the world that exists, and to love the world that exists.

Warmest regards,

Joshua
