Delta's Basic Fares Now Hit $500 Change Fees, a 400% Jump
Delta just updated its fees page with a nasty surprise: change and cancellation fees on Basic tickets have jumped more than 400%, now reaching up to $500 for the new Basic fares in premium cabins (Delta First Basic, Premium Select Basic, and Basic Business), which already strip out upgrades, standby, and most mileage earning. The fees went up with no advance warning, making the Classic fare a lot easier to justify for premium cabin bookings.

🔥 STEAL OF THE DAY
SoFi Checking & Savings is offering a bonus up to $735 when you stack the bank promotion with a Swagbucks offer. That is real cash, not points math, and it puts this above the usual churn-and-earn checking bonuses. The $735 figure only works if both offers are live and you qualify for the top tier of each, so check Swagbucks first and read the SoFi requirements before opening anything.

💳 CARD OF THE DAY
United Explorer Card. United just released a wave of transcontinental Polaris business class awards at 27,000 miles one-way for cardholders only, down from the standard 35,000. Availability is mostly for August and September, but some routes connect instead of going nonstop and some flights use recliners instead of flatbeds, so check the aircraft type before you book and search now before the inventory gets picked clean.
