Chase Freedom Unlimited Hits $90 Rakuten Bonus, Best Rate in Months
Rakuten is offering $90 cashback or 9,000 Amex Membership Rewards points when you're approved for the Chase Freedom Unlimited card, but only if you're new to Chase. Existing Chase customers get half that: $50 or 5,000 points. The bonus stacks with the card's standard welcome offer, and it's the best Rakuten has offered in months, though it still falls short of the $150 they ran a year or two back.

Capital One's 30% EVA Air Bonus Narrows Gap to Citi's 1:1 Transfer Rate
Capital One is offering a 30% transfer bonus to EVA Air through July 31, bringing the normally weak 1,000:750 ratio up to nearly 1:1. That matters because EVA holds back most of its long-haul business class award space for its own members, and while Citi still transfers at a clean 1:1 without hoops, this Capital One bonus closes the gap enough to make it workable if you're eyeing EVA's Royal Laurel to Asia.

Travel is valid late August through mid-November or January through early May 2027, with a 7-day advance purchase required. This fare probably won't stick around long.

American is showing impressive award availability to Curaçao on Alaska Mileage Plan, starting at 7,500 points one-way from Miami in economy, with connections from elsewhere in the U.S. often priced the same or only a few thousand points more. Business class starts at 15,000 points but is much harder to find, making this one of the better Caribbean award deals lately.
