Natural Project Planning: Part 5 - Target Acquired
You’re finally here.
You've defined the "Why" behind what you're doing.
You've envisioned what success looks like.
You brainstormed all the ideas possible.
You've organized them into concrete actions that must happen.
Now what?
Identify the very next physical action that must happen to accomplish the next part of the project.
This may be calling a restaurant to determine if they're open for date night, writing an outline for a course, or scheduling a chat with a colleague. Notice that these are all physical actions. No "determining" or "thinking".
Identify the physical action to be done.
Why is this important?
Because anything that isn’t clear will cause paralysis. You’re more likely to put off “figure out how to hang punching bag in garage”, but much less likely to put off, “Spend 15 minutes googling products to hang a punching bag in the garage.” The clarity from the latter example produces momentum to easily identify the next step, and so forth.
Force yourself to get to the root of what physical changes in your world must take place to move the needle forward.
