How can you get my attention?

Hey guys,

It is that day of the week again! Thank you for still being here and for taking a short break to spend time with me. How are you doing, by the way?

I am okay, I guess, but I feel a bit overwhelmed with everything that is going on. I do find it more and more rewarding to produce this content every week, planning, researching and finding the stories that have captivated and caught my attention.

After all, that is what we all seek, right? Finding the balance and the key to deserve peoples attention. And I know - it is hard! Which is why I appreciate each and every one of you that opens and reads this mail, and perhaps finds some of the stories relevant, engaging and inspiring.

I do want to hear from you, which is why this email goes directly to my inbox and not some ‘noreply@blablabla.bullshit' email.

I am doing research now for my next Five Minute Friday episode which is due next week, and it is fascinating to discover insights and data, which I look forward to sharing with you. Here is a little nugget; did you know that 63% of people trust a brands social media’s but only 37% trust the brands advertising? There is a major shift happening in the brand world of marketing, and that is something I’ll share with you next week.

This week I'd like to share two posts that I published on ways to catch the attention of consumers in the highly digital world and why is all of the sudden onslaught on influencer marketing in the world.

Also, don't miss this week's #FiveMinuteFriday where we are discussing specifics of you as a brand and brands acting more as people in the way they do marketing and communication.

I hope you'll enjoy!

Three Ways to Catch The Attention of Consumers in a Highly Digital World

Due to our digital lifestyle, customers are not responsive unless you can grab their attention and hold their attention. The good news is that when an advertiser is successful at catching the attention of a consumer, it’s a major win! Often that potential consumer will read, comment, watch, share, talk, and repeat.

Influencer Marketing is Nothing New, So Why The Sudden Onslaught?

Influencer marketing has been around for hundreds of years. Despite popular belief, influencer marketing didn't start with the launch of Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.

MY TOP 3 PICKS THIS WEEK:

The Old Content Marketing Playbook Doesn’t Work Anymore

It happened to billboards. TV spots. Direct mail. Banner ads.
Now, it’s happening to content marketing.
At one point in time, each was the customer acquisition channel du jour — now, it’s oversaturated, expensive, and increasingly ineffective.

How to BUILD A BRAND YOU?!

In this session, I'm going into the specifics of you as a brand and brands acting more as people in the way they do marketing and communication. Now I don’t know about you, but the word brand is used everywhere - by everyone - and getting closer to becoming a cliché - Brand this, brand that, brand yourself blah blah blah… But, it is actually important, and something everyone should be focused on, given you are an entrepreneur, influencer of some sort, or working at a company within pr, marketing or communication. I’ll do my best to simplify this topic in the next five minutes, The complexity of you the Brand You economy.

YOU HAVE REACHED THE END.

Thank you for reading and hanging out with me today. I do hope I managed to ignite a little spark of curiosity for marketing at the end of this week, with some well-intended, curated and self-created content.

If you enjoyed this as much as I did making it, please share it with your friends (Sharing is caring)

Have a wonderful weekend!
