Woah, what full days! How is everyone doing?
Glen and I were able to attend Henry’s funeral on the 3rd at St. Andrew’s. It was so good meeting up with other community members and catching up a wee bit around the reception held afterward. We were not able to go to the cemetery but I hear Father David offered the graveside prayers.
We’ve been asked if there have been any other offers on our place and the answer is no. We are okay with this as we get re-settled and walk forward in trust.
Yesterday I gave an daytime retreat to homeschooling ladies. We were at St. Rose of Lima’s parish. After attending Mass, I offered two talks: How to discern well and another one on homeschooling re-set. The gals were so beautiful. I so admire those ladies, living a rich family life. There are many who have embraced a life of self-sustaining choices.
My work with WISDOM continues until the end of November. I’m plugging along and doing my best. :)

Preston Manning and former B.C. Premier Gordon Campbell are co-hosting a live forum to help Albertans decide on October 19.
Ahead of Alberta's upcoming referendum, there's a new way to get up to speed before you vote. On September 19 and 20, the two will co-chair the Alberta and the West Assembly, a livestreamed online forum that brings together around 60 delegates from Alberta, B.C., Saskatchewan, and Manitoba, with backgrounds in resource economics, public finance, constitutional law, and Indigenous policy.
The point is to cut through the slogans and actually examine the choices in front of Albertans. The referendum runs ten questions covering immigration, voter identification, and constitutional reforms meant to strengthen Alberta's place in the federation, plus the one drawing all the national attention: whether Alberta should hold a vote on secession. The forum will weigh the real options, including Premier Danielle Smith's call to remain and build a stronger, sovereign Alberta within a united Canada. It will also make room for another view many Albertans hold: that a strong vote on the secession question, is leverage, a way to show Ottawa we are serious and force a fairer deal.
Anyone can watch it live, ask questions, and share their views through online surveys.
