Monster Hunter Stories 3
Every MHS game before this one felt like it was edging in closer and closer on perfecting the formula. I think MHS3 finally managed to hit that mark. I’ve devoured this game over the weekend and show no signs of stopping. I literally want to blitz through my day today to keep playing it. I have lots to say about it, so look out for that, but consider this an emphatic recommendation that you pick it up.

• Chicory: A Musical Tale - Resonant Union

  • An overlooked game with an overlooked soundtrack. Don’t let this remix album be overlooked too!

• Square Enix Jazz - Square Enix Music

  • Take your pick. The original, Vol. 2 and the FFVII albums are all fantastic jazz renditions of your favorite SQEX music. Good to get the bad taste out of your mouth when you hear a Persona track.

Status Update

Per usual, feels like there’s never enough time for anything, which is wild given I just got laid off. I figured I’d have time for more! Uh, marathoning games not withstanding, of course. Things should chill out after Eid and give me more time to write again. On that note, I’ll be off next Sunday.
