one poem three photos and a list
Hello everyone. Sometimes I forget that I can do whatever I feel like with this newsletter and that it can be informal and filled with randomness. That’s generally when I cease writing or sharing things. When it feels like things have to RISE TO THE LEVEL OF IMPORTANCE in order to share. But they don’t. So here’s a poem I wrote back in November. tl;dr I hurt my leg running and aging bodies are a thing. And some photos after that. Also, a list. Neat!
November 18, 2025
This pain straddles both hip and shin
telegraph tandem between two distinct points
alternating sync and syncopate
rectus rigid tendon
stiff and inflexible
tight with running and effort
when will these muscle knot clusters
loosen and unravel
release locus radiant
This desire to cease maintaining the body
no shower
no washed hair
this desire to cease eating
to exist without consumption
to not do anything forever
this visceral fear of blood clots and heart attacks
Bones incessant and unrelenting
soft caries film burrows crevice and pit
peel teeth - stripping layers of enamel
youth dream of lithe eternal
now crumble under plantar rotator ruin
and dreams of empty bowels
all skin pouring from ears
And here’s three photos. In color, even! Behold, our cat Orangey’s whiskers, a loose thread, and some flowers. All in our home between February and April.

And, to conclude, here are some books that I enjoyed over the past six months. Do I recommend them? Of course!
Delegation – Wendy Red Star
Light Lines – Hélène Binet
No New York – Adele Bertei
Black Arms to Hold You Up – Ben Passmore
The Operating System – Eric Laursen
Anarchism: A Very Short Introduction – Alex Prichard
The Salvage – Anbara Salam
Absolute Wonder Woman Volume 1 – Kelly Thompson and Hayden Sherman
Collective Behavior – Shahzia Sikander
Bread of Angels – Patti Smith
I hope you are all doing as well as you can be doing. Chances are, you are all doing your best, which is awesome! Cuz the capitalist hellscape situation is so dire and bleak. And doing your best ain’t nothing. Feel free to say hello, I enjoy hearing from you!
Keep loving, keep fighting!
