Hello. I finally finished making this thing that I worked on for a couple of years. I’m mostly happy with it. Originally I intended to make it more of a book with fancy stitching, but the content dictated that it’s more of a zine with sewn binding.
It’s a collection of 19 typographical collages I made based on the names of guitar players who directly influenced how I play guitar. At the end there are some brief note/details about the guitarists and what I specifically heard when listening to them.
The cover is printed from a linocut block that I made in a class at Lillstreet. I enjoyed the process of carving the block itself - maybe I’ll do more of this type of thing. I printed the covers at home with a wooden spoon to add the pressure. So they are kinda faded-photocopier in aesthetic.
