- This Ruby feature request of downward assignment wins this year's April Fools tech jokes.
- Here's a delightful talk on celebrating your successes through Github Actions by Jessica Greene
- Speaking of which, I am definitely enjoying Michael Heap's book on building Github Actions; he's also a terrific blogger so check out his posts on the subject if you're curious.

The contest takes place on Saturnday, April 17th 2021 and that's when the registration closes.
✨ All the Fluff
- YES to work-life balance in tech: this HackerNews thread on which job that requires the least work made my day.
- If you haven't seen the 1xEngineer manifesto, please do. I consider adding that to my CV blurb in the future to make sure I join a team with similar values and vibes.
- I had so much fun watching the recent episode of Learn with Jason with Cassidy Williams where they built a trolling website using prismic and eleventy!
🛑 News and stuff
- The New New Fellowship laureates have been announced -- check their projects if you need a dose of tech for social good!
- I am more and more inclined to move my family chat to Signal, especially that it seems that Mark Zuckerberg himself chooses Signal over Whatsapp which he owns. This news came to light after the recent massive data breach. By the way, you can check if your data has been exposed on have I been pwned page.
- Here's some good news: in the US, a teenager helped save a boy after he saw him crash a quad bike live on TikTok more than 800 miles (1,290km) away. After the crash, the boy shouted his parents' phone number, which prompted the teenager to action.
