what's nameless inside our veins fluoresces, fluoresces in the rain
Thank you to Anne-Charlotte Gerbaud for taking this picture of me during my Friday 13th August performance of I Miss Amy Winehouse

Hi there,
Keeping this bit short and sweet this week. I've seen a bit of change up in subscribers recently - which makes sense, as this this newsletter has evolved from being a companion to Freelance Pod to being a chronicle of my comedy / Fringe activities and fave articles of the week.
I'd love to hear from you - what's working for you? What would you like to see more of? Is there anything I should being back to the newsletter?
Hit reply on this newsletter to email me back or find me on Twitter @SuchandrikaC!
Listen to this Freelance Pod episode
- Comedian and teacher Alex Farrow is currently smashing it on his Edinburgh run of his hour-long show, Philosophy Pig - and he appeared on Freelance Pod in June to talk about putting a how together, what directing comedy means and how teaching has informed his comedy. If you're in Edinburgh, go and see his show!
I love hearing from you!
Thank you to Kelly Pawsey for buying me a Ko-fi last week!

My fringe show, I Miss Amy Winehouse, looks back at some of the partying I did in the 2000s when I was young and grieving and drinking / drug culture was most definitely in. I wonder if the escapism was more than self-medication; if it had a point. I did some of my best thinking after 2am on a heavy night (sometimes). There was so much freedom in running around the place as though London was our playground. That's why I really enjoy this nightlife newsletter by journalist Michelle Lhooq:
Floating through these ephemeral moments, I refined an instinctual wisdom on what it means to live free—and sometimes, during rare nights of true transcendence, it went even deeper, like glimpsing the face of god in this bonfire of vanities that nightlife often seems to be.

Reviews for I Miss Amy Winehouse
My show has two reviews!
1. From Theatre and And Other Things LDN
The full review is a bit spoilery, in case you're planning to see the show, but this is a nice bit:
"This show isn’t like most other grief shows, in the sense that it talks about happy grief and leaves you with a smile on your face."
2. From Stephanie Ressort from The View From The Outside
I've never been called value for money before, but I like it:
"At only £5 a ticket, it is a bargain, particularly when calculated on a cost per laugh basis..."
