birthday week and the summer of 2021

Hi there,

The gorgeous artwork at the top of this edition is by the artist The Postman, and is on the side of The Caxton Arms in Brighton. The person behind their Instagram pointed me towards the mural because I’m doing a show about Amy Winehouse there - it feels like serendipity. 8/9th June, 6:45pm if you’re interested.

This week featured my birthday - plus several others, it’s always been a popular week - and it was mainly about cake and sunshine and Zoom gigs and dreaming of a great summer. I might be about to book an Airbnb. It feels good.

Other than that, I’ve got a month to write an hour-long live show on top of everything else. I’ve got my first IRL gig coming up in May (24th - Jester Jesters @ The Betsey Trotwood, they kindly gave me back the booking I had for March 2020) and some other fun stuff I’ll announce soon.

Hopefully including a vaccine! Even a birthday wasn’t enough to get me into the gang who can sign up now, but I wait, I keep hitting F5 and I hope…

Thank yous

Hi Jo Kendall - thank you for my Ko-fi!
