Upcoming CSS events and new Sass option for creating Style Stage submissions
Greetings!
I'd like to invite you to a CSS event this week - LondonCSS - which I'll be kicking off by talking about Style Stage and modern CSS. I'm super excited to hear from speakers Adam Argyle (@argyleink) and Cassie Evans (@cassiecodes), too!
📆 Save the date - September 10
See more details and register for this free virtual event. Please help share it to your networks, thanks!
A reminder to tag me on Twitter or DM me to share your Style Stage story! If you happen to stream creating your submission, tag me so I can help boost that, too!
There are now 32 styles available - go check them out!
🚨 Updates
Do you enjoy writing CSS via Sass? Me too! There is now a template repo that contains the source Sass for Style Stage which you can use an alternative starting point to the source CSS and HTML or the CodePen.
The minimal setup includes processing via node-sass and hot-reload from BrowserSync.
What are you waiting for? Get the template and start creating your first (or second!) Style Stage submission!

CSS Tip: Cross-browser form field styles
Recently on ModernCSS.dev I wrapped up a 4-part mini-series on styling form fields.
Each cross-browser solution includes a11y & theming. These are pure CSS solutions style native elements - not a drop of JS or a framework in sight. Each article begins with a summary of key concepts and notable CSS properties used.
✨Bonus: the tips and techniques here are extendable beyond just form field design!
