New work: Drone Paintings
Hello!
I have a quick update that I'm excited to share. Today I'm launching a new set of work, a series of sorts: they are called Drone Paintings.

What is a drone painting? It's an audiovisual experiment made up of two components: a set of synthesizers playing generative melodies (audio) and randomly dropped "watercolor" blobs (visual).
By generative, I mean that the music creates a random sequence of notes within a set scale. This means that the melody and timing of notes is always changing, shifting.
Best of all, the whole thing takes place in the browser: so you can visit it at any time, and every time it will be different in it's own way. Different notes, different colors.
I hope to do more in this series. In addition to the first release, I wrote an essay about the motivation behind this work and the unique potential of generative music published in the browser. You can read that on my notepad here.
