November Update
Hello! Nat here, with the latest news from StoryTime. If you’re reading this, you signed up to get monthly updates about our development process.
If you’re reading this, you can take a look at StoryTime right now, by logging in with the e-mail that received this e-mail. (Keep in mind that any backlog you create with those credentials will be visible to everyone else with access to the application.)
If you can’t log in, or if you’d like to get access to a private space, send us an e-mail at team@storytime.team
This month was mostly spent dealing with Nat & Jesse’s move to Minnesota, but in between trips to Menards and turkey dinners we completed a few things for StoryTime:
stories moved to the top of the active backlog should not be moved above hidden stories
We replaced links to /live_backlogs with links to /rooms (old links should redirect to the new page)
a bunch of improvements to marker acceptance and statement management — markers are now “accepted” if they move into a location in the backlog where all the stories above them have been accepted, and are unaccepted if they move out of that position
URLs should wrap correctly inside of story descriptions
The main thing on deck for this upcoming month is some performance monitoring and possibly improvements, and some improvements to the /accounts page, to make it easier to handle more users.
If I’m able to make a lot of progress, we’ve got some improvements we want to make to the process of creating new rooms and selecting a room — this isn’t a workflow we use ourselves much but it’s very important to onboarding.
More soon,
Nat, Coby, & Jesse
