Your internal compass.
"Only the tiniest fraction of mankind want freedom. All the rest want someone to tell them they are free." - Poetic Outlaws
These words cut right to the core.
Especially if you're committed to living a life that’s truly your own.
Take a moment to consider this:
The freest soul I know isn’t some carefree drifter or a monk lost in meditation. (And let me be clear—there’s absolutely nothing wrong with either path).
No.
The freest person I’ve ever met is a successful entrepreneur who wakes up every day to a life he's intentionally designed. He’s surrounded by people who genuinely love him, and he leads multiple thriving businesses that value his leadership.
What I’ve learned from watching him is that true freedom isn’t something anyone else can give you.
No.
It’s a deliberate choice—a daily decision where you choose yourself, support yourself, love yourself, and lead yourself.
But what does it really mean to choose yourself?
Choosing yourself means making decisions that align with who you are at your core, even when it’s uncomfortable or goes against the grain. It’s about honoring your own needs and desires rather than living to meet someone else’s expectations.
What does it mean to really support yourself?
Supporting yourself is about taking ownership of your journey. It’s about being your own biggest advocate, showing up for yourself with the same energy and commitment that you’d offer someone you care about deeply.
What does it really mean to love yourself?
Loving yourself goes beyond surface-level self-care. It’s about accepting yourself fully, flaws and all, and treating yourself with the same kindness and compassion you’d extend to your best friend. It’s embracing your worth and recognizing that you deserve to live a life that reflects your deepest values.
And what does it mean to truly lead yourself every day?
Leading yourself means being proactive in your life. It’s about not letting yourself off the hook, making conscious choices, and taking actions that move you toward a better future. It’s steering your life in a direction that aligns with your purpose, especially when the path is challenging and you feel like quitting.
I know there are heaps of people out there who deeply crave this kind of freedom.
If you’ve been following along you know that for me, this journey is about living from the inside out. It’s about building my life around my core values—generosity, community, and freedom—and making sure I never go a single day without reflecting on what I’m grateful for and putting pen to paper on what I’m learning.
Which is the real work I do with my clients: intentionally assessing the calling on our lives and unleashing the gifts we’ve been entrusted with.
Because when we know our values life slows down, becomes simpler, takes on a certain momentum, and we become a force for good in blessing others by adding the most value we can on the daily.
If this resonates with you in the slightest, I’d love to help you uncover the freedom that aligns with your core values, so you can live authentically and lead with purpose every day.
