Faith and Hard Work.
Faith is the spiritual word for trust. It isn't some abstract concept floating around out there in the ether.
Faith is the currency of belief that fuels our actions and interactions.
Faith is what drives us to honor our commitments. Extend grace to others. And, strive to create a more trustworthy world.
Faith isn't passive; it's proactive.
You see, it's not just about showing up.
Nope.
It’s about showing up fully prepared. It's about putting in the hard work behind the scenes, investing in research, practice, and planning.
This is the mark of true professionals—the ones who understand that greatness isn't achieved through talent alone. But through relentless dedication and an unwavering commitment to the present moment.
As an old mentor of mine once said: the journey from ignorance to enlightenment is paved by consistency and faithfulness.
I know in my own life and work, it's about taking small, consistent steps towards growth.
Failing. Starting over again.
Letting go of old tapes playing in my head that got me nowhere fast.
And, getting down to the nitty gritty of honoring what's at stake in the space I find myself in on the daily.
So, take a moment and identify three areas where you need to be more faithful:
1.
2.
3.
Now, consider one small action you can commit to in each area to develop some consistency:
1.
2.
3.
What's the number one excuse you typically fall back on for each of these areas?
1.
2.
3.
For each area, craft a new, positive story to replace your old-worn-out-excuses:
1.
2.
3.
Congratulations, amigo.
You've just laid the groundwork for meaningful change in your life.
Now, it's time to get to work.
