Steeven Says Stuff #4 - A Slight Delay
Thank you for subscribing to Steeven Says Stuff, the newsletter dedicated to providing you with all the updates about me: Steeven R. Orr.
I’m a podcaster. I co-host The Superman Super Show with Ed Moore and I host Hither Came Conan, Growing Up Geek, The Comic Book Show, and so many more.
I’m also a husband, a father, a recluse, a writer, a neurodivergent, an introvert, a nerd, an expert at hyperbolization, an Odor Judge*, and so much more!
Howdy!
This week’s newsletter is below.
THE INTRODUCTION BIT
Heya!
Before we get into things, a quick announcement:
This newsletter will, for the time being, release every two weeks.
It may go back to a weekly release schedule at some point, but currently, I just have too much other stuff to do.
Also, if you want to find me on social media, your best bet is to find me on Bluesky:
I’m still a member of Twitter/X, but I removed it from my phone as I don’t like the idea of using a social media platform that’s run by a Nazi, and if you don’t agree that Elon Musk is a Nazi, then you go on ahead and disagree with me. At least you know where I stand.
I should mention that I’m also on Instagram and Threads, just not as often as Bluesky.
You can find me at Instagram and Threads under @SteevenOrrElse.
THE MAIN BIT
It’s that time once again, folks.
This Saturday, March 29, at 10:30 AM Central Time, Ed and I will be getting together to record another episode of The Superman Super Show, and as always, we are livestreaming the entire thing.
This time around, we are finishing up our first six, Post Crisis episodes with a look at The Man of Steel #6.
So come on by, chat with us in the chat area, and be part of the fun. Here’s the link:

STEEVEN ORR ELSE RELEASE DELAY
There are times in a podcaster’s life when they realize that regardless of what they might do or how much time they put in, they are going to miss a deadline. This, folks, is one of those times.
My goal had been to release all six episodes from Season One of Steeven Orr Else on Tuesday, April 1, for all the members of Steeven Orr Else Beyond. Then, the following Tuesday, April 8, Episode 1 would land for everyone else, with Episodes 2 to 6 releasing each Tuesday after that.
However, the closer we get to the deadline, the more I am beginning to accept the fact that I’m just not going to make it.
So that leaves us with the important question: When will Season One of Steeven Orr Else release?
Well, while it’s entirely possible that I can have all six episodes ready to release on Tuesday, April 8 for members of Steeven Orr Else Beyond, and then release weekly for everyone else starting on Tuesday, April 15, I’m not going to set a date at this point… just to be safe.
Just know that I am very nearly done, they are very nearly ready, I just have a few last things to do.
Until then, I’ve updated the cover art for Steeven Orr Else and here it is!
Pretty cool, right!?
Yeah… I certainly think it is.
THE PODCAST OF THE WEEK BIT
The Disconnect: Power, Politics and the Texas Blackout
Explore what happened during the worst blackout in Texas history, how we got the electric grid we have today and what could be done to fix it. Millions lost power. Hundreds died. How did this happen? KUT's Mose Buchele explores what happened during the worst blackout in Texas history.
Here’s the thing, folks. Never did I think a podcast about the Texas would be so gosh darn interesting, but The Disconnect had me hooked from the get go.
I’ll warn you, there’s a lot about how the Texas power grid works, how it’s set up, how it’s different than the rest of the States, and how it all led to the Great Texas Blackout in February, 2021.
Give it a chance. There are currently three seasons available, and between y’all and me, I’ve only had a chance to listen to the first two.
But yeah, I enjoyed the heck out of it. There were bits I didn’t quite understand, but still, it was pretty damned good, in my opinion.

Hey, have you listened to any of the three shows I’ve suggested so far? What did you think?
Let me know!
