ok i don’t know how to write a newsletter lmao. ive been saying that i want to basically just make this like my cohost page straight to your inbox so is it ok if i don’t have like a whole thought out thing to say every time and just send my silly little thoughts whenever with the brevity of quick chosts instead of necessarily Writing a Newsletter(TM)?

if i want to use this as something of a replacement for my cohost feed i am going to need a way to get those quick little thoughts out, and i've been thinking. do i just send them out in normal emails--normails, even--with each message being like a post? do i elaborate on them enough until it's long enough that i feel comfortable making it A Newsletter Entry, to get a good grade in newsletter, which is normal to want and possible to achieve? do i just make a separate RSS thing for those little thoughts? do i compile the little thoughts together into a newsletter entry to send out regularly?

i've been feeling like my best options are the first and last things, but the last one seems kind of silly and the first one Doesn't Seem Like Enough For A Newsletter, which seems equally silly in a different way. i have a very strong feeling you all at the least won't mind the little thoughts beamed straight at ya, but i feel like i should still make a point of it.

i HAVE been trying (and failing) to make an RSS feed for my website to use with a thing i found called RuSShdown, which is really cool and seems good for those quick little thoughts, but the con to that is that i can only use it from my PC and i think i have to manually update the file to my website every time i chost, which kinda sucks. so the newsletter is probably what i will still use lmao.

i should probably say something else so my first newsletter entry isn’t about Writing A Newsletter… i wrote a story! i posted it on cohost, but you can read it here. it's called Late Night Emergency Melody and is about a woman who is pushing herself far too hard trying to get a robotgirl working. what happens then? well, you'll have to read it to find out! >:3 i'd love to hear what you all think of it.

...hang on oh my god. i think i glitched out the buttondown thing with a markdown footnote. it was just pointing out the normails thing as a typo i made that i ran with but then it was like "4 links inserted" and i was like "huh that's weird. there's only 3 links" and then a minute later it was like "uh this link is broken user please look?"
