Trump White House dropped CNN from its scheduled TV pool slot for Trump's Texas and Oklahoma trip after a court restored its access

Event: September 30, 2026 Location: Washington, D.C. Jurisdiction: Federal Abuses: Access restrictions targeting critical outlets

On September 30, 2026, the Trump White House released its guidance for President Trump's October 1 trip to Denton, Texas, and Durant, Oklahoma, without CNN, which a rotation schedule the White House had released days earlier designated to provide television pool coverage. The removal came less than a week after U.S. District Judge Timothy Kelly temporarily blocked Trump's ban on CNN, MS NOW and Politico, and was the second presidential trip from which the White House kept CNN since that ruling.
