Reflection #28 Two Kinds of Friends

My purpose in life is taking care of a 4 month old kitten. Since I have been retired for a while (though filled in a number of places since), I don't feel driven to mandate a purpose on myself. I just pray for God to give me the words, wisdom, knowledge, and love for whatever circumstances I find myself in. That feels like plenty at this point for me.- F

Trish, Thank you for that beautiful card. It was such a joy to see your mom & you & Dale & your lovely place.Your poem is something I totally enjoyed. Hope to see you again soon. If you r over this way at any time, I’d b glad to see u if I am not with a client have a blessed Thanksgiving 💕- J

Well now, you’ve not only expressed it well but pictured my friends as well! Love how connection really is connectional throughout life!  - LJ

Excellent. -F

Reflection 27 Friendship

Lovely! Your mom is amazing.- -B

She looks beautiful, my friend!. -H

Lovely! Finding new friendships at this stage is harder. Getting re-involved with community theater should help - F

I hope your mother's 95th birthday party was wonderful! I've always appreciated the love for and admiration you've had of your mother. She's definitely a model for embodying love in this world. Last week I was able to go on retreat which was very much needed and hopefully a start to a much more sustainable, saner way of living for me!  I continue to pass along your reflections, hopefully folks are signing up to receive them! I'll be in touch. -K

Reflection #26 Moving Forward

Beautiful – D

Dr. Brown, Reading some of your poetry, the past few weeks in your Spiritworks e-newsletter, I’m struck by how much folks in our Guild for Spiritual Guidance would appreciate reading it. The themes of growing in self that you express resonate with one of our holistic learning strands, Jung’s depth psychology. I’d have to go through to earmark all the ones that would fit, but I wondered if you have a process whereby, we might share these in an email or newsletter, doing what is needed to give credit and honor your copyright? Many thanks, -- Rev. Dr. JB

Reflection #25  Taking Inventory

Tricia, this is such a wonderful poem! I've read and reread it (my 50th birthday was Sunday so it seemed very fitting). And I've utilized it with two of my directees (passing along your website to both). Thank you. – K

Hi Tricia, Hope this finds you well and enjoying the moments of life and relationships! As always (and always) I both appreciated the musings and found a real/ongoing connection to your experience....as it mirrors one of the most helpful and powerful approaches to my life-journey. It frees us from regretting and allows us to remember and appreciate with thanksgiving. This faithful approach allows one to appreciate and celebrate (and smile) the long journey of life.   Thank You for Being You! Love and Peace. -D

Reflection #24 Still Becoming

As I get older, my thirst for knowledge is greater than any other time in my life. I am so thankful for that gift. It allows me to continue to grow in ways I had not imagined. -H

Like fish that must keep moving to take in oxygen, we must keep growing and changing. - HW

Reflection #23 A Fall

Trish, That is beautiful. So on point. Thank you 💕 – J

Reflection #21 Walk Out of the Room.
