Reflection #6. It is Enough

I am discovering,
in the quiet aftermath of change,
how much I have gathered
from what once seemed lost.

The grief I carried—
disappointments, detours,
closed doors—
have become
unexpected gifts.

Failures I mourned
now whisper
of strength I hadn’t known,
lessons wrapped in silence,
patience taught by time.

I walk again
through moments of joy,
and sorrow,
and nod to each one—
yes.
You were mine,
and you shaped me.

With gentler eyes,
I see
that I chose as wisely
as I could,
at every crossing,
for the self I was
at the time.

And that, too,
is enough.
