Reflection #38 — Living with Passion

I want to live with passion,
not as urgency,
but as a steady flame,
alive within me.

Passion is sacred energy,
devotion that endures,
a willingness to stay awake
to what matters.

These years have been my training,
slowly schooling me
learning how to be
a passionate older woman.

Resisting the pull of caution
that narrows life,
my spirit is questing,
not resting.

I listen.
I lean in
I choose, again
to live with passion.
